Four weeks after acquiring my shiny new Wii, I beat The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, with fifty-two hours of gameplay. (The hours reported by the console may be slightly over-reported, since I left the game paused and ate on one or two occasions.) Still, that's about a dollar for each hour of entertainment (if I don't count the price of the console itself). It's a fantastic game on a fascinating console.

As an early Wii title, and (essentially) a GameCube port, Twilight Princess doesn't do as much as it could with the motion-sensitive Wii controllers, though pointing with the remote to aim weapons is better than using the analog sticks in Wind Waker.

And did I mention there's no triforce quest to get bogged down in at the end of the game?

If people are going to read the intimate details of my life, I might as
well take the opportunity to bore them a little with mundane accounts of
trivial events told in run-on sentences in the process.
