Holiday cheer

I'm currently enjoying my Christmas holiday at my parents' house in Norman, Oklahoma. (They moved to Oklahoma after I moved out; I grew up in Boulder.) Part of our holiday celebration included building gingerbread houses. We used graham crackers. Mom, Bethany, and Kiesa made traditional-looking sloped-roof houses. Willy and I were a bit more ambitious; I searched for a suitable idea (contemplating the Hirshhorn, the Pentagon, and a few other less-notable ideas) until settling on one of the world's tallest buildings (ignoring the debate as to whether one should consider highest habitable floor or tallest structural feature): the Sears Tower. My proportions are a bit off, but it's clearly recognizable:

Willy built Herod's Temple, which he's also modeled in SketchUp and out of several physical model schemes.

If people are going to read the intimate details of my life, I might as
well take the opportunity to bore them a little with mundane accounts of
trivial events told in run-on sentences in the process.
