Ok, I'm better now. But in the past hour, I just learned more than I ever wanted to know about terminfo. Neelix obliquily reminded me that Snoopy's unfriendly (but ubiquitus) terminals still aren't supported properly by Ziyal. I decided I don't really need much sleep anyway, having finished the six designated tasks established for myself for today (four units of homework -- finally getting caught up -- and two journal entries), so I launched into a quest to first learn as much as possible about the Snoopy terminals, then create or use an existing terminfo entry for them. (This was all, of course, after I learned that termcap is depreciated, and started to scour the terminfo manpage for useful info.) The terminal, through Snoopy, was reporting itself as "adds3A+". I had a terminfo entry for "vp3a+" which looked like it'd work, and a trip down two flights of stairs to the local terminal revealed it did. I then delved deeper into the mysteries of the terminfo and copied the entry. Everything worked happily, and I even created an account for Anya, so Karma Whoring here I come. (But first, off to bed.)
