Winter Quarter

Just finished my first class. I will simply sit here for my next class, too. (Assuming this class doesn't get moved. Doesn't look likely any more.)

Showed up in College Place at 1830 last night after ten and a half hours of driving from Rock Springs that morning. Highlights of Monday include leaving at 1500, hitting ice on I-80, slipping, clipping a deliniator, and ending up facing the wrong way in fifteen centimeters of snow in the median. I got digital roaming and learned that the state patrol knew where I was; they volunteered to send a tow truck. I waited and presently a SUV showed up in the eastbound lane and volunteered to push me out with three guys. I shrugged and they proceeded to push. Another guy joined them and I made it back onto the Interstate, cautious to avoid more ice. Five and a half hours of driving that day, minus an hour in the median, for a total of sixteen hours for 1080 miles. Highlights of Tuesday include convincing my girlfriend not to break up with me (significantly changing the content of this changelog) and unpacking everything and grabbing my e-mail again.
