I have this nagging reminder...

Date: 2000-04-22 16:40:00

I have this nagging reminder at the back of my mind that this is the course of action I followed last time I pulled a Jäger, the time that defined "pulling a Jäger". (While I will not define "pulling a Jäger" here, I will define the three known versions of "pulling a Neelix": dating someone and not bothering to tell anyone else, paying full price for something when one can easily get discounted rates, and holding one's keyboard on one's lap as a default mode of operation.) And don't worry -- the letters in the previous entry have nothing to do with anyone else's lettering scheme; they were picked because I knew A before B, which obviously isn't the case in another version, since I've known that B for years and haven't actually met A.

Nine days ago, I was hypothetically optimistic about my social situation, recognizing myself in the same place I was a year ago, optimistic because of a large pool of female friends to draw from, hypothetical because I wish not to pull a Jäger this year, too. That gradually morphed into three days ago, when I was sprinting with my eyes nearly closed, betting everything on the hope that I could make it the remaining three weeks of school without tripping on anything. Then came early yesterday evening, when I figured out what I might have done, and later yesterday evening when I drew that very card, tapped the appropriate number of lands, and played it. *shrug* We'll see if anyone counters it.

In other news, I just finished making my journal archive browsable by year and month, so if one wants to know what I was doing on, say, 01 January 2000, one may simply click "2000" and then be presented with a thumbnail version of the whole year with clickable links for each and every existing journal entry within that span. This will make it easier for people (especially A, should that person choose to read more -- that was the person referenced in the news item three back) to read any arbitrary entry without typing the numbers in the location bar or clicking through hundreds of entries to get to the one one wants.
