Mid-Fest report: I'm coding furiously in Perl on a special project that I seem to be actually getting paid for. (At least no one reacted significantly to my "special introductory consulting rates", and told me to proceed.) I hope to have a working prototype done before I go to sleep.

In other news, Travis journeyed down from Omaha and engaged in various entertaining pursuits with the Commune members, including a real meal cooked by a real person, discussion of cryptography, and a U-571 viewing. (I considered inviting B along to stay within the terms of my MPAA boycott, but I can be slightly consoled by the fact that another boycotter broke his boycott today, er yesterday, as well. It is this sort of inability, however, which hampers my chances of ever actually getting anywhere. I'll have to get a braindump from Neelix on the mysterious topic of "dating" sometime soon, for it would not be difficult to conclude that he knows more than I.)
