Cold and Wet

I'm sitting in the mid-mountain ski lodge (Gold Coast for no apparent reason) at Squaw Valley USA. (It's in California, near Lake Tahoe.) My first encounter with California skiing hasn't been good. Our original plan was to ski yesterday, but the snow had been rained on, making it rather icy. So we went snow shoeing instead. It's now snowing, or maybe sleeting. This is making my jacket and my other stuff wet. And cold. I didn't realize exactly how cold and wet it was until I took them off and attempted to dry them. Problem is that it's cold even in here. At least I managed to move away from the door.
I'm also having trouble finding good trails. The snow isn't ice, but it's still not very good. I'd go for some nice bumps, but I haven't found any yet.
I was supposed to meet my group here at 1230, but they haven't shown up yet. Perhaps I should recon.
First Amendment protection. Besides the old standards (libel, fraud,
obscenity, incitement to riot and copyright infringement), the court's new
category is, essentially, "anything that potentially threatens the profits
of Time Warner and Disney."
