cs club excitement

Date: 2002-01-24 00:10:16

Last night (being Wednesday night) was another exciting computer science club meeting. Jared and I enlisted a nearby Kenny to provide transportation to Wal-Mart for our fortifications acquisition run. While ringing up, Jared wondered how much the junk food would cost. I randomly picked US$32.12. (We usually spend within four dollars of that amount for an average club meeting.) It rang up to US$32.20. (I missed by eight cents! However will I survive? I got closer than Jared, though; he guessed US$33.00)

My great numerical abilities struck again during the meeting when I correctly recognized the classic Bill Gates is the antichrist sum faster than anyone else and got a two-liter of Dew. We watched Memento, which was great fun and excitement. It was amusing to listen to Nolan react to seeing it for the first time; I had to restrain myself from making references to what was about to happen. (Or what had already happened, depending on one's perspective.)

There may be some Frankensteining happening in the near future, but I won't assert anything for sure...

Well aren't *we* the superior ones? Reveling in our great awareness as we
march into the ocean, fully cognizant of the destination to which *our*
herd of lemmings plunges? ;)
