mass email

Date: 2002-02-08 15:26:34

For entertainment value, I've included the mass e-mail I sent to people I once knew. This will save me from spamming everyone I do know who does read my webpage, who already knows that I'm engaged.

COLLEGE PLACE, WA - "Western Wedding College worked for me!" should be the new slogan for Walla Walla College, in the dry southeastern corner of Washington state. An inside joke for many years, the nickname is proving to be accurate, as an increasing number of seniors are tying the knot. Among one of the recently-engaged students is Ted Logan, who is studying computer engineering and plans to graduate this spring. "I realize some might not know I'm even dating anyone," he said, but I want everyone to know that I'm getting married to a beautiful woman named Gem Stone." Gem will also be graduating this spring and is taking computer science, WWC's one female computer science student, with minors in English and business. "She's wonderful," Ted said.

When questioned about the details, Ted responded that they got engaged on 23 December 2001 and will be getting married on 04 August 2002 in Gem's hometown of Longview, Washington. Then what? "I'd tell you, but I'd have to kill you," he responded. "Oh, wait. I'm in the process of prostrating myself before various high-ranking graduate schools in the hopes that they will have pitty on me and graciously accept my offer of tens of thousands of dollars per year to provide me with the opportunity to study digital system design. Gem has applied to the University of Illinois, which provides web-based courses, so she can get a masters of library science and still follow me wherever I happen to find a compassionate graduate school."
