The Worst Sci-Fi Prequel Ever is taking shape. Sunday we started principal photography with the alien brig scenes, which ended up with four actors in the scene at once, which is a record for one of my worst sci-fi movies. Tuesday I filmed Willy and Bitscape on the Festus bridge; the stars on the black backdrop ended up looking better than I feared. Thursday we headed to NCAR to film the opening scene; I traded directorship with Willy so I could be in front of the camera as General Rigel. I'm feeling good about this movie; we might actually be able to wrap principal photography on Sunday, as Willy hopes we can. (1300, Boulder Compound.) We get to film the Titan location shot, for which we hope we can remember to keep the red filter over the camera lens for all of it. Willy has great plans for choreographing an elaborate battle. Should be great fun.
