Perl Magic

It's always fun to be able to wield my elite Perl hacker skills for someone who isn't used to seeing magic happen. I'm used to being able to do anything with Perl. I firmly believe that a one-line Perl script could solve Florida's vote-counting irregularities, a ten-line script could solve world hunger, and a fifteen-line script could provide world peace. (The middle east does complicate things a little.)
Immediately after supper, Willy and I headed to the living room armed with Elssbett and a patch cable. I plugged Gem's notebook into Gem's MIDI box, started recording audio, and started xine playing the latest version of The Worst Sci-Fi Trailer Ever! Willy played the Duke of Altair's theme along with the music and we successfully managed to record. I managed to merge it with the audio track from the video itself and ended up with a completely way-cool trailer. I'm almost tempted to release it right now just because it's the coolest thing in the world. Actually, all I'm going to toss out to my loyal content vultures is the Duke of Altair Theme.
I want to be in charge.
