Got Ziyal set up. I'm...

Got Ziyal set up. I'm using a touchpad for a pointing device at the moment because I gave Neelix back his mouse when I left the Commune. It's not too bad, once I jacked up the sensitivity, despite the fact that the right button doesn't work. Recompiled a 2.2.14 kernel and changed a bunch of stuff to work much better as a dialup workstation. (I hate dialup. Have I said that before?) Can't figure out how to get my gnome panel mail notification applet to stop spinning like a crazy madman. Ordered a Logitech Cordless Desktop Pro; it seems to be off backorder now. Have an idea for a minor change to this site, which I'll implement sometime in the future.

My room is in complete disorder. Stuff is strewn all over the floor, necessitating wading through ankle-deep papers, books, and various trinkets to go anywhere. I pulled all of my brother's stuff off my shelves and stuffed them full with my own stuff. All the easy stuff -- books mostly -- is in its place; the tricky part will be getting everything else secluded in some vague assemblance of order.

My dad got a Visor, the first one I've actually seen in person. Basically like a Palm except that it's thicker, comes in different flavors, and has a funky expansion slot on the back. He took it to church and I wasn't sure whether to be thrilled or disgusted. (I think I'll opt for the former.)

We should work here... not as employees, mind you.
