Sorry; there isn't that much breaking news in my realm these days. Not many exciting code rewrites or huge changes, just kludges on top of kludges on top of kludges. (I think that's all the further it goes.) Finished The Best SF 4 with a great short story by Bruce Sterling after another great story by David Brin. Continued reading The Postman. Wonder if I'll actually get a job or just read and code at home all summer long. (My parents would kill me.) Considered (although not too seriously) assembling a geek compound of sorts, or joining an existing one. Watched The Simpsons -- hilarious "Behind the Laughter" episode -- hurrah for the mocumentaries! The X Files was good, too -- smoking through a trache doesn't seem pleasant. Missing too many episodes lately had me mystified as to exactly why Krycek was in a prison colony somewhere in Africa, it seems, and who exactly those two females were. Finally, Krycek did something resembling decent, or so it seems. Aw man I want the entire series on DVD... Now I just hope EFC tapes properly tonight...
