So much for being very useful. After an aborted Fest last night (I went to bed before 0300 when I couldn't think any more), I jumped through the various hoops of red tape to finish registration for second semester, which starts tomorrow. Then I got bored and wanted to avoid usefulness (something I've become very adept at lately) and decided it'd be a great idea to reimplement the webcam that graced the Commune early last semester. An hour and a Perl script later, I got it up and running, albeit in an early version. Fun for the whole family. In other news, Neelix, Humblik, and I returned to the Commune (that's a whole story in itself -- watch for my journal entry, coming soon) last night in Baxio (the Neelixmobil) and found Centurion's stuff missing from the Commune. The obvious conclusion: he decided he'd rather room with the friends he hangs out with anyway and departed. It bugged me because I consider him a friend and he didn't bother to inform me of this prior to today. I gave him the benefit of the doubt until he came and I found out he had been planning it for the past month. I had seen him at least three times over Christmas break and he neglected to mention anything during that time. This bugs me mostly because the friendly deans might suddenly realize there's an empty space and shaft us with some looser reminiscent of unnamed prior Commune guests.
moment...and still have no clue what is going on.
