Vindication

Went shopping with my mom and sister. Purpose: get shoes, as the ones I've been wearing are sixteen months old now and are definatly showing it. Finished at 2055 MDT, five minutes before the stated closing of the mall. Bethany begged, "Let's go through Foleys!" to quickly look at clothes. Promised five minutes. Five minutes, I thought. I can handle that. Seventeen minutes and a hip-hop music video later, she was done and ready to go. Get home, where we learn that her boyfriend called seven minutes prior. Had she stuck to her original timeline, she would have gotten the call. If that's not vindication I don't know what is. Willy and I will remember this for a long time.

Forgot to mention: yesterday I plugged a network card into the evil win98 box sitting next to me and proceded to play a networked Civilization: Call to Power game with Willy. I was Putin of the Russians and he governed the Cubans. We allied, presenting a nice unified front against our enemies, including the English and our fellow Communists, the Chinese. (I wanted to change the Chinese leader from Mao to Chang Kai-Chek, but it wouldn't let me and I probably wouldn't have spelled it right anyway.)
