I'm officially off work for Megafest 4.2, set to begin at 1800 MDT at monarch.festing.org. My remaining tasks before Festors attend are to make sure the house is in order (I need to rearrange portions of the basement), take a nap (I was out late last night at Neil Gaiman's appearance at the Tattered Cover in LoDo), and start playing with my sexy new computing device (which may shock and disturb my viewers).

There is not yet a solid plan for viewing Serenity. It appears that no local theater is enlightened enough to have a midnight screening. Details may soon emerge.

Friday night I took the T into Cambridge and was walking around Harvard Square when I heard one girl say to another, "Neil Gaiman kissed you! I'm so jealous." At least, that's what I thought she said; it turns out that Gaiman was in fact at a bookstore in Cambridge last Friday night, so I might not have been hallucinating.

Modern mobile phones make my head hurt, and I speak as the owner of a
sheepskin that proclaims me to hold a degree in computer science.
