Here, you can find all the strange movies I've played with. Even though
I have three complete screenplays written, I have yet to actually begin principal
photography on any of them. I got within an hour of doing so with Gigafest, but it fell
through. I still want to film Gigafest when I go home on breaks.
- Gigafest A dozen crazed programmers take on
Microsoft.
- Us vs Them Aliens kidnap Willy and his
friends, and Max and George have to rescue them.
- A Day in the Life A day in the life of
friendly Max, who wanders around Fairview with an electronic eye and
vanquishes the evil foe. He gets a girlfriend as a fringe benefit. If only
that could happen to me every once and a while. I'll write the script RSN.
- unnamed technowizard/technophobie movie: there exist two groups:
technowizards and technophobies. A newspaper feature about the two serves as a
catalyst for some transitions between the groups as members exchange and sparks
fly. I have an entire screenplay that has undergone some revisions, but I lost
the disk it was on. I do have physical copies, so I can re-enter it whenever I
get sufficiently bored.
Ooh, here it is, the scanned screenplay. It's a little crude, since I used
OCR and the origional was a little written over.
- unnamed post-apocalyptic movie involving insect walkers: Our hero Marc
pilots an insect walker, a six-legged highly-mobile vehicle in a
post-apocalyptic world that has reverted to feudalism. He develops an attraction
to the princess of his sect and has to deal with it and her arranged marriage to
the prince of a minor nearby sect.
- unnamed Jovian trilogy: Follows the story of four friends (but we don't meet
the fourth until the second movie) who are important
figures in an uprising aginst the tyranous government ruling Jupiter and its
moons.
- unnamed strange movie: The story of a guy who comes
upon some method for making 3d images from a number of flat images and, with the
help of a holographic company, tunes the technology in his basement and goes off
the deep end after he catches his good female friend and her boyfriend having
sex in the room equipped with the technology burried in the walls.
- unnamed romantic comedy: The story of my life, circa my sophomore year of
high school. Follows (and editorializes upon) the story of two guys and four girls and tranlates them into seniors at a prep school.
- Black Sunrise: Set in 2031, follows the story of three techheads who
live in a San Francisco where encryption is regulated and come across strong
encryption almost by accident. This makes them fugitives, and they run into
several interesting charcters along the way and eventually succeed. A social
critism thinly veiled as science fiction. References Deep Space Nine: on a radio
in the background: "...the worst civil disorder since the Bell riots seven years
ago..."
- The Bleeding Edge: My most thrown-around title recently; the general
idea is the life of several young adults who live on the bleeding edge of
technology. It takes many forms, either a tv series, a web-based comic strip
compiled with the assistiance of my digital camera, or a full-blown
movie.
