When to start reading

World-readable

It's actually good to start as soon as they're born. As Jaeger mentioned, they can't comprehend immediately but it can help they start figuring out word patterns. Over Christmas, I got a book called Baby Read-Aloud Basics which I think is pretty good. They have suggested books to read for newborns to 24 months. In addition, they have a chart showing what type of concepts babies can understand at which ages.
