The official Twitter app is quite good, but if you want more features, Twicca is my current favorite. Its only weakness is the lack of a good homescreen widget, but I prefer to just launch the app anyway.
Twidroyd used to be the best, but when UberMedia acquired them, they sort of ruined it.
Also, if you download K9 Mail and APG, you can (sort of) use encrypted mail, though not with PGP/Mime. And of course, you need this app more than any other.
