My brother-in-law just called from the Philippines to report that he's engaged. I will confess that I saw this coming; his girlfriend did go to visit him, and it seemed like a really good time. (Kiesa and I got engaged on 23 December 2001; this engagement occurred on 24 December 2004.) Not that any loyal readers know who my brother-in-law is, but I still think it's exciting that I'm getting a new sister-in-law. Now I have to make sure I can take time off at the end of July and get a plane ticket to SoCal.
