I cooked my standard potato dish for breakfast on the last full day of the Megafest. We played exactly one game of our old Festing favorite, Cities and Knights of Catan. (If I recall, Yanthor won, but I put up a pretty good fight.) After supper, we played one last game of Fury of Dracula. I played as Dracula and actually managed to win the game, which I suspect might be an auspicious sign of things to come: Now that we are, in general, sufficiently experienced with the game, we understand Dracula's strategy well enough that the hunters are at a significant disadvantage. (Early on, with both Dracula and the hunters bumbling around not really knowing what they were doing, the hunters had the advantage of numbers, but now I suspect Dracula will have the upper hand.) I still can't shake the feeling that there's too much of a random element involved in terms of encounters and items. It seems fiendishly difficult for Dracula to regain health, especially if he's trying to avoid hunters in the process. (I'm still a bit annoyed that I accidently cheated with Dracula's moves both times I played as Dracula, which cost me the game the first time.) I missed my original target bedtime by half an hour but still managed to get almost enough sleep for the Bolder Boulder on Monday morning.

I woke up early and drove into Boulder to run the Bolder Boulder for the first time in five years. When I returned home, Humblik and Linknoid had departed for the east, leaving Yanthor and Anya. After breakfast, we drove across Longmont to our local theater to watch Iron Man. Yanthor and Anya had seen it three or four times already, but Kiesa and I hadn't seen it. I enjoyed the super-hero movie, updated for the dawn of the twenty-first century.

Yanthor and Anya departed for Lincoln from the theater, leaving Kiesa and I to return home to the now-empty Festing Ground to put the house back together and try to catch up on sleep.
