Blame Game

Posted by Jäger on 2005-10-14 05:16:29

World-readable

Blame has started for Monday's de-icing fiasco. United and DIA are blaming each other. DIA, airlines at odds over delays in de-icing. What I want to know is: (1) Why did United flights average forty-five minutes for deicing, while other airlines' flights average two hours? (2) Why do planes loose their slot in the queue when they return to the gate?

And, from the Boston Globe: New antenna ends radar errors at Logan. Apparently Boston's radar started showing false positives, which can't be good; the FAA found a spare radar at Bangor International Airport in Maine and installed it in Boston, solving the problem.
