After killing my computer Monday night, I contemplated my many options. Kiesa pointed out money in a previously-sacred account that I could reappropiate in the interest of marital harmony (two people don't work very well with only one computer), so I went shopping.

Tuesday night I wandered to eBay and bid on a T21 Thinkpad. FedEx says it's going to arrive Saturday. (Home delivery apparently does strange things.) I think I'm going to name her Illyria (I dug up old Angel episodes; it seems to be pronounced ah-LYR-i-ah), but I'll reserve final judgement until I see her in person and determine her actual personality. Kiesa isn't quite sure what I'll do with a computer that thinks it's superior to me, but since it has only an eraser pointing device, I think it's appropriate. (I do have a USB mouse I can use when I get desperate, but since everything I read tells me erasers are superior once one gets used to them, I figure I should be able to handle it.)
