World-readable
While I'm at it, I'm going to take the opportunity to complain about consumer electronics miniturization. I can't shake the feeling that almost everything I touch, especially new consumer electronics, are designed for 40th percentile American females. (Hi, Gem.) As a 65th percentile American male, my hands feel huge and ungainly when I pick up new consumer-grade digital cameras; I'm afraid I'm going to crush their tiny plastic shells with my bare hands. My phone is barely large enough to manipulate the keypad without hitting anything else.
It also disturbs me when I walk into a shower where the head comes up to my chin. (It amused me when I visited Yanthor last fall and observed that he had specified very tall shower heads in his bathrooms. I'm taking that as a sign that I'm not alone in my complaints.)
