Tie breaking

That principle is essentially what we use now. We just do it on a more complicated level. ;-) Having just a yes/no vote makes ties too easy, which is one of the nice things about the current method, the likelihood of getting a tie is almost zero.I'm curious if people think my idea would be a good system of voting. What are it's downsides?
