I also prefer mice. I've been fascinated by Logitech's cordless USB mouse with a dongle designed for notebook use, but it's too small for me to use on any consistent basis. Now that I've taken posession of Elssbett (Gem's old notebook), I acquired a US$20 corded Logitech USB mouse, which works great except that Elssbett only has one USB port.
Four years ago I got a Logitech wireless keyboard/mouse combo, breaking my trend of buying US$8 mice every twelve months when the last ones broke horribly, and keyboards slighly less frequently. I've used it ever since and it's still working great.
Those weighing in on the flame war might be fascinated by the poll over at Bitscape's Lounge.
